“Sewing For Africa” Fabric, Supplies & Help Needed

Hi everyone! Our awesome seamstresses have been really busy sewing lots of the Pillowcase dresses for those in need. We are running short of extra wide double fold bias tape! This morning I hopped on Hobby Lobby and placed an order! I was excited to see this item is on sale for half price! If anyone would like to donate some — now is a great time to do so! We use one package of extra wide double fold bias tape for each dress! If you would like to order some you can have them mailed directly to me at 406 North Meadow Street, Osmond, NE 68765 or leave them in the back of St. Mary’s Church on the bench! Remember it must be Extra Wide Double Fold! Any color is perfect! Oh yah forgot to mention — Freight was free for orders over $50 also!! Thank you in advance! Your gifts are much appreciated! Joanne Ekberg

A group of ladies from St. Mary’s meet on Monday evenings from 7:00-9:00 p.m. or so at Joanne Ekbergs to sew dresses, pillow cases, shorts and tote bags for people in need.  These items are donated to Africa and Haiti through the Orphan Grain Train.
If you would like to join them you are welcome to.  If you would like to make some of these items on your own time and when it is convenient for you, click here for details.  Materials will be supplied for you to use.
Also, if you have any fabric, elastic, thread, ribbon, rick rack, lace etc. you would like to donate see what is needed here.  Thank you to these ladies for opening up their hearts to those in need and volunteering their time and talent.
